Abstract

Abstract ENGLISH: Within the framework of the proposed model, the dissipative energy budget of the Gaia–Janus system is identified as the fundamental driver for Large Igneous Provinces (LIPs). Specifically, the genesis of the Siberian Traps is interpreted as a direct manifestation of inertial mantle heating and forced degassing induced by the resonance capture of the satellite. This establishes a causal link between lunar orbital dynamics and the major biotic crises in Earth’s history.
