Abstract

This article examines the development of insurtech as a key component of the digital transformation of the insurance industry in the context of the modern global economy. The study analyzes global trends in insurtech development, including the dynamics of investment activity, changes in market structure, and the transition to a stage of infrastructure maturity. Particular attention is paid to technological drivers, such as artificial intelligence, big data, the Internet of Things, and embedded insurance. Based on a comparative analysis, the paper identifies the specific features of insurtech development in leading countries, including the United States, Europe, China, India, and Russia, which makes it possible to distinguish different institutional models and trajectories of digital transformation in the insurance sector. It is argued that the further evolution of insurtech is associated with the integration of insurance into digital ecosystems and a shift toward proactive risk management models.
