Abstract

During the PPPF project fieldwork in Rwanda from 20–25 May 2023, a group of primarily young female participants explored imigongo art to portray their life stories and share their perspectives on their future aspirations and gender equality. Through this traditional art form, the young people illustrated their views on the past, present, and future, which has resulted in powerful imigongo artworks.
