Kuburi
Abstract
In this recording, Matthew Orovi is presented with a series of drawings illustrating different stages in a woman’s life. He is invited to freely describe what he sees, and from these images, he creates a short narrative. The woman, named Kuburi, goes with her husband to make sago and collect shellfish. He then describes the full process of preparing sago. The narrative concludes with the characters returning home.
