Abstract

To improve the quality of diesel fuels, it is necessary to modify them with additives that meet European requirements. The most active of them are dispersing, depressant, and cetane-increasing additives. The purpose of this work is to study the effect of the additive on the lowtemperature properties of diesel fuels. The external object of study was 3 samples (CN for sample N1-47.98, N2-30.58, N3-24.19) of diesel fuel with different low-temperature properties. The additive runway was selected as a dispersing additive in order to improve the low-temperature properties of diesel fuels of three samples. The depressant additive had an effect on sample No. 1 to lower the filterability temperature. The cloud point for sample No. 1 decreased from -6C to -10C. The greatest modification effect was achieved with an additive amount of 0.5% of the fuel volume. Analyzing the data obtained, it was noted that the depressant additive had the greatest effect on reducing the pour point on sample No. 1 and No. 2. The pour point for sample No. 1 decreased from -20C to -29.5C. The greatest modification effect was achieved with an additive amount of 0.5% of the fuel volume. It was shown that the depressant additive had the greatest effect on reducing the maximum filterability temperature on samples No. 1 and No. 2. The filterability limit temperature for sample No. 1 decreased from -15C to -25C. The greatest modification effect was achieved when the amount of additive was also 0.5% of the fuel volume.
