Abstract

This Geological Input data package belongs to chapters and articles from PhD thesis work by Kim de Wit, within the NWA-LOSS project. The geological input is used in 3D interpolation covering the Holocene coastal plain of the Netherlands. The 3D interpolation code is stored separately, on GitHub.com. The repository for recreating the 3D interpolation can be found at https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.18175831 The repository for filtering the output data and isolating a GIA subsidence signal can be found at https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.18176674 The geological input read by the interpolation code is partly in grid format, partly in point format. The gridded data files, generated in GIS by Kim de Wit and most extensively documented in Chapter 3 of the thesis, are shared here. The point data (SLIPs, ULDs, ...) are contained in a separate database, in HOLSEA international standard format, published in January 2026 on Zenodo.org. The geological input repository here, for referral contains a placeholder folder with a readme.txt.
