Abstract

Breast cancer poses diagnostic and therapeutic challenges in patients with special conditions such as older adults, men, young women, and pregnant or breastfeeding women. The eleventh update of the Mexican Consensus on the Diagnosis and Treatment of Breast Cancer (Colima, 2025) aims to standardize diagnostic, therapeutic, and follow-up criteria for these sub-populations.It seeks to serve as a helpful tool for oncologists, breast specialists, and healthcare professionals involved in the care of breast cancer in Mexico.Key issues addressed include individualized screening, shared decision-making, targeted therapies, conservative surgical management, and considerations regarding fertility and breastfeeding.
