Abstract

The article is devoted to the analysis of the interaction between the state and the education system as a significant mechanism for the formation of modern Russian identity. The relevance of the research is determined by the need to strengthen civil unity and sovereignty in the context of global instability and geopolitical challenges facing modern Russia. The purpose of the study is to identify and characterize the forms, tools and practices through which state-educational interaction is carried out in the process of identity formation. The scientific novelty of the work lies in a comprehensive analysis of the latest educational initiatives («Conversations about important things», «Fundamentals of Russian statehood») not only as academic disciplines, but also as specialized socio-political practices that introduce a direct dialogue about values and citizenship in the educational process. Based on the analysis, the author comes to the conclusion that the interaction of the state and education forms a special mechanism for constructing identity, and the educational sphere serves as the agent for the translation and consolidation of unifying narratives, historical memory and civic attitudes among children and youth. The conclusion of the article is that further strengthening and improvement of this interaction is a strategic task that determines the long-term civil consolidation and stability of the political community in Russia.
