Novela corta y diario: a propósito de Diario pinchado de Mercedes Halfon

Se pretende acercar posturas entre el diario y la novela corta con el apoyo de una obra como Diario pinchado, de Mercedes Halfon. Desde la teoría literaria, se ha aproximado el diario y la novela en diversos puntos, pero no aún el diario y la novela corta. Cabe apreciar características en común, textuales y extratextuales, tras superar un punto de partida a priori alejado: mientras que el diario es un texto aliterario, antificcional, antinarrativo e inconcluso, la novela corta es un género literario, ficcional, narrativo y breve. Los extremos se pueden tocar, en este caso y a estas alturas de la literatura y de la crítica, en un punto como el de la denominada autoficción. Aunque no abunden los ejemplos en español, para iluminar esta cuestión se elige el de la escritora argentina, que también puede contribuir a arrojar luz sobre una genealogía de diaristas aún pendiente de trazar. Short Novel and Diary: On Diario pinchado by Mercedes Halfon This article aims to bring the diary and the short novel closer together by examining Diario Pinchado by Mercedes Halfon. While literary theory has explored connections between the diary and the novel, the relationship between the diary and the short novel has yet to be fully examined. Upon overcoming the seemingly distant starting point: where the diary is seen as non-literary, anti-fictional, anti-narrative, and unfinished, while the short novel is a literary, fictional, narrative, and concise genre, common textual and extratextual features can be observed. At this stage of literature and criticism, these extremes converge, particularly through the concept of autofiction. Although there are few examples in Spanish, Halfon’s work sheds light on this intersection and contributes to the development of a genealogy of diarists that remains to be fully traced.
