Peri-implantitis successfully managed by air abrasion with β-tricalcium phosphate powder and veneer bone grafting: A case report
Abstract
Although dental implant is an excellent treatment method from the viewpoint of establishing occlusal support and preserving remaining teeth, once peri-implantitis occurs, it is often difficult to treat, which is a serious clinical issue.In this case report, we report that a patient who had developed peri-implantitis was treated with air abrasion using β-TCP powder to clean the implant surface and veneer bone graft, resulting in good recovery outcome.
