Abstract

Geography of Everyday Spaces. For the Right to Be and to Pass, but Not in Just Any Way. Geographical Frameworks of Interpretation: from the Classroom to the Street – from the Street to the Classroom, is a conversation initiated by its author, Professor Rodolfo Espinosa López, following a reflection on his trajectory as a university educator in the teaching of Geography. In an autobiographical manner, the book brings together his pedagogical and didactic experiences through ten interpretative frameworks, offering possible ways to critically analyze everyday inhabited spaces, grounded in a solid theoretical and methodological understanding of the geographical discipline. This book by Rodolfo Espinosa, Emeritus Professor at Universidad del Valle, is the result of his sabbatical year. Its publication by the Faculty of Humanities is the first in the proposal Didactic Autobiographies – María Cristina Navarrete Peláez Collection, which seeks to compile and disseminate teaching practice and academic work. Ultimately, the book constitutes a valuable contribution to the dissemination of the social value of Geography, thanks to its theoretical and methodological approach aimed at strengthening citizenship education through geographical education, emphasizing the movement from the classroom to the street and from the street back to the classroom.
