Adaptación cultural y validación psicométrica del Cuestionario de Imaginarios sobre el Trabajo Social en el Caribe colombiano
Abstract
This study aims to analyze the cultural adaptation and psychometric evaluation of the Questionnaire of Imaginaries on Social Work in the general population of Cartagena de Indias, Colombia. A quantitative study with descriptive-instrumental scope was divided into two phases: an exploratory analysis with 65 participants and a confirmatory analysis with 100 participants. Validation of the questionnaire included linguistic adaptation, expert judgment, and factor analysis. The findings suggest that the adapted version exhibits adequate validity indices, internal structure, and reliability, with a three-dimensional structure: Socio-vocational Commitment, Ignorance about the profession, and Bureaucratic Management. Factorial reorganization reveals a close relationship between the vocation of service and social justice, thus consolidating a single factor. It is concluded that the adapted version of the questionnaire constitutes a reliable and valid tool in terms of structure to measure the social imaginaries on Social Work in the Colombian context, with relevant implications for the discipline and professional training.
