WITHDRAWN: Material Development for the Novel Propulsion Systems mainly within Plasma Systems for Beryllium and Tungsten
Abstract
The choice of the material within the nuclear engineering specifically within the sector of the space application has always been crucial due to the choice of the materials that has been made. Conventionally, Nickel, Tungsten alloys have always been chosen for their mechanical properties. This paper introduces the use of the beryllium and beryllium alloys as one of prominent material for the nuclear devices in order to provide with the better mechanical properties such as crack prevention and chemical properties such as hydrogen embrittlement. This also studies the thermal behaviour of the alloys and molten salts to enhance the same compared to the conventional alloys.
