Abstract

This paper extends prior work on the Caltech Center for Technology and Management – Northrop Grumman airworthiness training collaboration by integrating updates introduced in NAS 9945 Rev 1 (2025 Draft). The new standard harmonizes airworthiness education across academia, industry, and government through curriculum, competency, and professional-progression models. Building upon the existing framework, the revised training program adopts the expanded NAS 9945 series (and anticipates the forthcoming Emerging Technology Airworthiness Training standard) and emphasizes ethics, sustainability, and digital-engineering readiness. The result is a pedagogically grounded, standards-based, and industry-relevant curriculum model for developing the next generation of Airworthiness Professionals.
