Spatial Reconstruction of Temperature and Molecular Concentration From Path-Integrated Laser Absorption Spectroscopy Measurements
Abstract
This paper uses path-integrated laser absorption spectroscopy (LAS) measurements to reconstruct spatial profiles of temperature and nitric oxide concentration over a laminar flat-flame burner. Experimental design and absorption spectroscopy theory are reviewed. Five computational methods are described: two-line and Boltzmann thermometry, iteration for molecular concentration recovery, forward-solving grid search, and inverse-solving algebraic reconstruction tomography (ART). Assumptions of spatial symmetry and spatial parameter distribution are considered.
