Abstract

This paper is one of several in a special session on Dyreqt, a framework for the multidisciplinary design, analysis, and optimization of space system architectures. This paper will cover the motivation and formulation of Dyreqt. Dyreqt is built on top of NASA's OpenMDAO package, and has been in development and use for over ten years in the Advanced Concepts Office at NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center. Dyreqt's maturity as a framework has reached a level to where plans are in work to release the framework to the community.
