Wall Effects on Pressure Gain of Radial Type RDE

It has been known that a loss of pressure gain (PG) greatly depends on the rotating detonation engine (RDE)’s structure. To study such a loss in detail is quite difficult by experiments, but it is important to do so numerically. This report discusses the cause of PG loss using a radial-type RDE (R-RDE) numerically. So far, the present results may give an answer for this problem.
