Wave Interactions in Oblique Detonations
Abstract
This study presents a numerical investigation into the shock wave structures and downstream flow in standing detonation waves in a confined duct. The geometry and conditions correspond to the experiments of Zhang et al. (2022) in the JF-12 wind tunnel. Several cases involving the strong and the weak detonation waves are considered. The role of freestream pressure and leading edge bluntness on the wave structures is also examined.
