Abstract

The current state of the art for satellites with storable propellants is a one-time propellant tank use. This has numerous downstream effects in satellite design and operation with regards to maneuverability and lifetime extension. To benefit space sustainability and upend the current single-use paradigm, the Orbit Fab team has developed an in-space refueling valve. This novel in-space refueling valve addresses the challenges of ground and in-space fueling operations. Following a rigorous development test campaign, the valve successfully completed its qualification test campaign. The qualification phase of the valve development cycle will be reviewed.
