Abstract

From its initial service in the Pershing expedition to Mexico to their final disposition, not even as scrap but in bonfires only ten years later, the Curtiss Jenny played a critical role in the nascent air arms of both the United States and Canada. While the vast majority were used for pilot training, the ubiquitous Jenny served in many other roles, often for the first time by an aircraft, both during and after World War I.
