XB-1 Supersonic Demonstrator: Development and Flight Testing From a Flight Analysis Perspective

This paper gives an overview of Boom’s XB-1 development & testing, from a Flight Analysis perspective. The paper describes the aircraft, including key systems, offers some insight to the design choices made, and the tools used in its analysis & development. It then describes the flight testing campaigns, and presents some findings from these tests. The underlying theme of the paper is the strong influence of aerodynamic data during flight envelope expansion.
