Abstract

Large Space Structures (LSS) exhibit significant flexibility, making it intrinsically difficult to capture their complex dynamics with analytical models. This study applies Active Disturbance Rejection Control (ADRC) to the attitude control of LSS without relying on detailed information regarding the plant dynamics, thereby departing from a conventional system identification perspective. A Bayesian optimization-based tuning procedure is proposed to efficiently balance tracking performance and robust stability with a limited number of trial evaluations. Numerical simulations using a flexible satellite model demonstrate that the proposed scheme achieves smooth attitude maneuvering while suppressing residual vibrations and maintaining robust stability against modal parameter variations.
