Abstract

This paper covers testing done at the University of Central Florida that aimed to characterize pre-detonator operability under various conditions. Three parameters were varied, the reactant fill time, reactant supply pressure, and tube length. The data was taken from Schlieren imaging, post processed with code to extract the shock wave velocity for each condition. Analysis of the data showed that only the tube length had any significant impact.
