Renewable Energy System Sizing and Building Envelope Auditing with the EnerghxPlus Platform
Abstract
The energy audit and analysis microservice of the patent-pending EnerghxPlus platform is assessed towards the development of the renewable energy system sizing of the ZEV research facility at the University of Lagos. With this audit microservice, the renewable energy potentials for the harvest of solar, wind, and biomass energies are evaluated. By the users’ upgrade from the Basic to Standard users on the EnerghxPlus platform, the users’ dashboards are configured to manage, design, and monitor their building envelope’s zero-emission ratios in terms of availability, affordability and acceptability. Any selected renewable energy system appliance is designed with comparative assessment of the life-cycle cost analysis (LCCA) for building appliances, renewable energy system kits, electric vehicles (EVs), energy market analysis, and third-party data for users’ satisfactory price comparison, system efficiency, and acceptable associates-client experience. This work proposes a pathway toward practical, scalable net-zero energy management for smart building designs in the Canadian, United States and Nigeria deregulated energy markets, contributing to energy efficiency, sustainability certifications, and the future of urban renewable energy deployment.
