Abstract

During the last quarter of the 10th century and throughout the 11th century, the intellectual circles of the Pamplona monarchy deployed a series of well-known resources in the service of royal propaganda. In a new twist on their study, the aim now is to analyze the organization of the texts and images in the different codices, their presence or absence in the copies, where and how they are placed, the process in short of textual and iconographic transmission. The aim is to try to assess the extent to which these apparently minor elements also contribute or not to the construction of a propagandistic program, the definition of which still raises important questions.
