Abstract

Language is a fundamental component of cultural identity and a key instrument for the preservation of cultural diversity. It enables individuals to convey values, beliefs, traditions, and collective memory, thereby reinforcing a sense of belonging within a community. This research looks at how language connects to cultural identity and how it helps keep different cultures alive. It also explores how language and cultural diversity are deeply connected because language carries the values, traditions, and worldviews of a culture. Each language reflects unique ways of thinking and living, so when languages are preserved, cultural diversity is maintained. The study concludes that preserving linguistic diversity is essential for maintaining cultural identity, as language not only reflects but also sustains the traditions, values, and heritage of communities.
