Historical and Ethnographic Museum of the Village of Korten
Abstract
Festive horse blanket (burlap), which was used in the wedding procession of Melania and Afanasy Karadjovi. The cloth was woven and decorated with embroidery by the young girl Melania in 1944. The blanket is decorated with red knitted lace and multi-colored pompoms. The red color is said to protect against evil spirits.
