Historical and Ethnographic Museum of the town of Tvarditza
Abstract
A "two bouquets" carpet, woven by a craftswoman from Tvarditsa in the 1970s. Woven on a horizontal, narrow loom, because it can be seen that the carpet is formed from three pieces, woven separately. Most likely, the craftswoman only had a narrow loom and therefore it is not possible to weave a large carpet. Then, after weaving the central part with the bouquet, she wove the floral strips and sewed them to the central part. The carpet is approximately 2 m long and 1.2 m wide.
