Abstract

A towel woven from silk threads, interwoven with stripes of silk, yellow and cotton, white threads. Decorated with patterns from two different periods. This piece when it was woven was sewn with a pattern of red and black flowers, in a technique called "Bulgarian cross". Later, in the 1980s, smooth embroidery was made with red and green mouliné threads, a significantly more primitive embroidery.
