Abstract

The image captures BBN from Royee village as she meticulously prepares wool by teasing it, a crucial step in traditional wool processing. Seated indoors, she carefully holds a small amount of wool known as Dappi, the term for wool during the teasing phase. Her focused expression reflects the skill and patience required for this task. Surrounding her are various materials, including loose wool fibers, and large spools of yarn, which symbolise the different stages of the wool processing journey. Beside her sits a wooden spinning wheel, indicating the next stage of transformation once the wool is ready. The teased wool, once finished, will be called Pizhonu, ready for spinning into yarn.
