BBN spinning the weft thread in her village in Royee
Abstract
The image captures KHT from Royee village as she expertly spins the weft thread, known as wore, using finely teased wool, or pizhonu. This stage of spinning is particularly delicate, demanding precision to produce the two essential thread types for traditional weaving. The single "wore" thread is woven horizontally by the weaver, while the stronger double "thon" or warp thread is wrapped vertically on the hand loom.
