Abstract

A top-down view of a traditional loom reed and shuttle, essential tools for weaving Shu cloth, displayed on a vibrant patterned carpet. The loom reed features finely crafted metal teeth for precision, set within an intricately carved wooden frame adorned with circular motifs. Below the reed, a wooden shuttle is shown, complete with a spool for carrying weft threads during the weaving process. Together, these tools exemplify the artistry and craftsmanship of Chitrali artisans, preserving heritage textile practices.
