Abstract

Women from Royee village, Chitral take a break from teasing wool during a geeve gathering, sipping tea around a warm stove. The fire flickers, casting a cozy glow, while the women, wrapped in colorful shawls, share a moment of rest and conversation. Geeve gatherings are a communal tradition where women come together in winter to process wool for spinning, reinforcing bonds and preserving Shu knowledge.
