19th century Yorkshire playbill for a performance of "The Golden Ladder" in York on 9th October 1899

Digitised copy of a 19th century playbill for a performance of "The Golden Ladder" by Wilson Barrett in York on Monday 9th October 1899. This playbill was digitised as part of the York Playbills project, commencing in 2009. Within the City of York there are a number of collections of playbills which were published to accompany productions at theatres which were part of the 'York Circuit'. This initially included the York, Hull, Leeds, Wakefield, Doncaster and Pontefract Theatres. 19th century playbills from the Yorkshire Theatres are deposited with York City Archive, although there are gaps in the collection from the latter part of the century.
