Археологические исследования укреплений Орешка – Шлиссельбурга в 2019 г.

Археологические исследования крепости Орешек в 2019 г., ставшие продолжением масштабных раскопок 1968–1975 гг., затрагивали крепостные стены начала XVI в. и 1410 г., бастионные укрепления XVIII в. и культурные слои. Стены крепости начала XVI в. были перекрыты в основании насыпями бастионов, строительство которых планировалось еще с середины XVII в. Однако осуществление этих планов, начатое Петром I в 1702 г., завершилось только в середине XVIII в. Archaeological investigations of the Oreshek fortress in 2019, which continued the large-scale excavations of 1968–1975, affected the fortress walls of the early 16th century and 1410, bastion fortifications of the 18th century and cultural layers. The walls of the fortress at the beginning of the 16th century were blocked at the base by mounds of bastions, the construction of which was planned from the middle of the 17th century. However, the implementation of this plan, begun by Peter I in 1702, was completed only in the middle of the 18th century.
