Abstract

In the real Lebesgue spaces of functions summable on the positive half-axis, three different classes of nonlinear inhomogeneous integral equations of fractional order with a variable lower limit of integration are studied. For these equations, global theorems on the existence, uniqueness and estimates of the solution are proved by the method of the operators monotone by Browder-Minty. From the obtained estimates it directly follows that the corresponding nonlinear homogeneous integral equations have in the Lebesgue spaces only the trivial solution. In this case, the conditions on the given functions and parameters under which the operators under consideration are strictly monotone (i.e., strictly positive according to Bochner in the case of linear operators) play an important role. Additionally, it is proven that under these conditions, the norms of the Weyl and Riemann-Liouville operators are identical. The paper also includes consequences that illustrate the main results.
