ИСТОРИЯ КАРТОГРАФИРОВАНИЯ ТЕРРИТОРИАЛЬНЫХ ЕДИНИЦ СЕВЕРНОГО КАВКАЗА (XVIII В. – 1-Я ТРЕТЬ XX В.)

В статье представлен аналитический обзор картографических материалов, да ющих представления о территориальных единицах Северного Кавказа. Хронологические рамки – XVIII в. – 1-я треть XX в. Показано развитие картографической деятельности при освоении территории региона, формирование его политико-административных границ. В основе данной работы лежит анализ опубликованных и архивных материалов, обобщение и систематизация сведений о некоторых картографических материалах, охватывающих территорию Северного Кавказа. Особое внимание уделено материалам Российского государственного военно-историче ского архива (фонд № 386). This article presents an analytical review of cartographic materials providing insight into the territorial units of the North Caucasus. The chronological framework covers the 18th century – first third of the 20th century. The development of cartographic activity during the development of the region's territory and the formation of its political and administrative boundaries is described. This work is based on an analysis of published and archival materials, as well as a generalization and systematization of information on selected cartographic materials covering the territory of the North Caucasus. Particular attention is given to materials from the Russian State Military Historical Archive (collection no. 386).
