An analytical framework for the design and analysis of continuous sampling plans (CSP) to manage import and export pathway risk

This report provides full technical details associated with a collection of analytical tools constructed to support CSP design and analysis for all schemes currently implemented in Australian biosecurity. This includes CSP-1, CSP-3, the operational CBIS scheme and the proposed HCI system. Analytical tools for data analysis have also been formulated to improve the information available from historical records and data collected during CSP operation. Together, this body of work has considerably improved the efficiency and accuracy of CSP analysis, reporting and design in the department, and it underpins a report on optimal CSP-design principles that is currently being prepared.
