Town of Banff Stormwater Quality Monitoring

To support effective stormwater management planning, municipalities require an understanding of the types and sources of stormwater contaminants within their community. End-of-pipe grab samples collected from four outfalls (C1- C4) and two background reference sites (B1 and B2) during 21 rainfall and snowmelt events from Oct 2020- April 2024. Samples were analysed for a suit of over 50 parameters including dissolved and total metals, nutrients and physio-chemical parameters.
