Sexual mutation of Fusarium graminearum
Abstract
The origin of genetic variation in the homothallic fungus Fusarium graminearum is unclear. In this study, we performed whole-genome sequencing of its selfed progeny and demonstrated that self-fertilization is intrinsically mutagenic.
