Chromosome-level genome assembly of Clinacanthus nutans
Abstract
Clinacanthus nutans (Acanthaceae) is a medicinal plant widely used in Southeast Asia and southern China. This project presents a high-quality chromosome-level genome assembly of C. nutans, generated using long-read sequencing and Hi-C scaffolding technologies. The assembled genome provides a valuable genomic resource for studies on genome evolution, gene family expansion, and the biosynthesis of bioactive metabolites in medicinal plants. All raw sequencing data, genome assembly, and annotation files are publicly available to facilitate comparative genomics and functional studies in Acanthaceae and related plant lineages.
