“Single Target – Dual Therapy” at the M4 mAChR for the Treatment of Schizophrenia
Abstract
As an innovative therapeutic approach, my research explores the combination of the two classes of M4 mAChR ligands, xanomeline and emraclidine together, as a “single-target, dual-therapy”, for the treatment of schizophrenia. Combining cellular pharmacology and translational biology, my research is forging a comprehensive study on an innovative therapeutic approach combining an orthosteric and an allosteric modulator together for the treatment of schizophrenia.
