The meshwork illustration of the sensory- emplaced embodied lens
Abstract
The meshwork diagram is presented as a metaphorical illustration that employs a sensory, narrative-based form of representation to communicate an embodied and situated perspective through the lens of meshwork, the overarching focus of this study. The diagram was developed through close engagement with theory and fieldwork encounters, where these concepts were explored and tested in relation to students’ everyday learning experiences. The meshwork diagram is offered as a contribution to learning environment research. It is presented as a conceptual and methodological starting point for future researchers to draw upon when examining students’ embodied experiences in learning environments.
