Smart Commerce Fraud Detection
Abstract
In today's bustling online marketplace, deceptive schemes have surged amid the widespread use of mobile payment tools, digital wallets, and vast networks handling countless deals. Conventional safe guards, which depend largely on straightforward guidelines, struggle to match the witty, constantly shifting tactics employed by scammers, frequently missing subtle warning signs amid the nonstop rush of purchases. Our cutting edge Smart Commerce Fraud Detection framework harnesses intelligent computing methods to closely examine deal flows, pin point odd behaviors, and immediately highlight suspicious activities. It relies on a neatly arranged dataset featuring elements such as purchase type, sum involved, shopper information, prior funds, and post-deal totals to craft precise forecasts. We evaluated multiple advanced approaches, including Logistic Regression, K Nearest Neighbours (KNN), Random Forest, Decision Tree, and Support Vector Machine (SVM), to determine the strongest option. Findings reveal that these tech-powered strategies greatly enhance reliability and slash erroneous warnings far beyond what those inflexible, outdated guideline systems can achieve. Moreover, the proposed system is designed with scalability and real-time adaptability in mind, making it suitable for deployment in modern e-commerce and financial platforms that handle high transaction volumes. By continuously learning from new transaction patterns and evolving fraud strategies, the model can dynamically update its decision boundaries and maintain high detection accuracy over time. This adaptive capability not only strengthens user trust and financial security but also minimizes revenue loss for businesses, ensuring a balanced trade-off between fraud prevention and seamless customer experience.
