Deepfake Resistance through AI-Driven Water Marking
Abstract
Deepfakes have become a major threat in today’s digital world, enabling the spread of misinformation, identity fraud, and manipulated media that is difficult for the human eye to detect. To address this challenge, this project introduces an AI-driven deepfake prevention framework that focuses on reliable detection, authentication, and content verification. The system leverages advanced deep learning techniques, combining facial behavior analysis, feature inconsistency detection, and artifact-based classification to identify manipulated images and videos with high accuracy. A preprocessing pipeline enhances detection by examining micro-expressions, blinking patterns, frequency distortions, and frame-level inconsistencies. The model is trained on diverse datasets to improve generalization and minimize bias across various lighting conditions, resolutions, and compression levels. In addition to detection, the system provides an intuitive user interface that allows real-time verification for end users, making deepfake detection accessible, fast, and trustworthy. Overall, the proposed approach contributes to strengthened digital security and offers a practical solution for recognizing manipulated media before it causes harm.
