Challenges Encountered By Banking Professionals In E-Banking Operations
Abstract
E-banking has revolutionized the banking industry by providing convenience, speed, and accessibility. However, it also presents several challenges for banking professionals, including technical difficulties, operational pressures, and customer-related issues. This study investigates the challenges encountered by banking professionals in e-banking operations and their impact on employee performance. Primary data were collected from 120 bank employees in Kanyakumari District using a structured questionnaire and analyzed through percentage analysis, weighted average, and correlation analysis. The study reveals that banking professionals face major challenges such as difficulty in resolving customer issues promptly, meeting deadlines for digital transactions, and managing the increased workloads. The study suggests regular training, technological upgrades, the provision of additional time for task completion, and strong managerial support to enhance efficiency, reduce stress, and improve service quality.
