Kırım’da Rusya’nın İdare Politikası (1783-1802)
Abstract
This study examines the “Oblast” administrative structure, one of the provincial administrative units established in the region after the Russian Empire annexed the Crimean Khanate in 1783. The study’s chronological scope covers the years 1783-1802. Within this framework, it clarifies why Russia chose the oblast form of administration over the “Crimean Local Government,” “Tavrida Oblast,” “Akmescit and Perekop Uyezd,” and finally “Tavrida Governorate.” It provides information on the positioning of Crimean beys, mirzas, and clergy during the establishment of the oblast administration. It also examines Russia’s administrative practices during the period of oblast administration in Crimea and their consequences.
