Homeopathic Case Report: Management of Bilateral Ovarian Cysts with Hydrosalphinx
Abstract
Alopecia areata is a chronic autoimmune disorder characterized by non-scarring patchy hair loss affecting the scalp and other hair-bearing areas. This case report describes a 10-year-old girl presenting with multiple coin-sized alopecia patches on the scalp accompanied by itching, constipation, low appetite, and reduced immunity. The patient had previously received both allopathic and homeopathic treatments without significant improvement, and the patches continued to enlarge. Detailed case analysis revealed characteristic mental traits such as talkative behavior with family members, shyness in public, lack of confidence, irritability, and sensitivity to surroundings. Based on the totality of symptoms and repertorial analysis, Lycopodium clavatum was selected as the constitutional remedy. Within five months of treatment, the patient showed marked clinical improvement with cessation of itching, filling of bald patches, and improved digestion and immunity. This case highlights the effectiveness of individualized homeopathic treatment in autoimmune hair disorders and demonstrates a significant clinical transformation achieved at Dr Batra’s® Homeopathy Clinic.
