Abstract

This article aims to analyze how the integration of English language private courses into regular schools can act as instructional design agents in strengthening bilingual education. The study adopts a qualitative, descriptive, and exploratory approach, based on a literature review, document analysis, and a case study of a partnership between a private language institute and a private school offering Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education I and II, located in the Greater Florianópolis area. The findings indicate that the involvement of specialized companies, when aligned with the school’s curricular guidelines and mediated by models such as ADDIE, contributes to pedagogical organization, curricular innovation, and the development of students’ communicative competence. It is concluded that the integration between regular schools and private language courses, when contextually adapted and pedagogically guided, represents a viable strategy for improving bilingual education in Brazil, although it requires continuous monitoring and institutional adjustment.
