21. Yüzyılda Aile Şirketlerinin Siyasal Gücü Üzerine Bir Analiz: ABD’de Rockefeller Ailesi Şirketleri Örneği/ An Analysis of the Political Influence of Family Businesses in the 21st Century: The Case of the Rockefeller Family Enterprises in the United States
Abstract
ENG. The relationship between capital and politics has been a phenomenon in almost all countries of the world since the emergence of private property. It has been observed that the centers of capital have a very decisive influence on the political mechanism, especially during election processes. In the process that followed, it was understood that the capital centers were engaged in a serious struggle in order to make their effective power over the political mechanism more permanent. On this basis, a concept called corporatocracy has emerged in recent times. This concept, which refers to the institutionalized political power of capital, is mostly encountered in US politics. In this study, the corporocratic power of the Rockefeller Family in US politics has been analyzed. In the process, the political power of the family, which progresses in parallel with its growing capital power, has been analyzed. Then, the political power of the Rockefeller Family in the Trump era was analyzed. Finally, the future of the Rockefeller Family's influence in national and global politics in the 21st century is sought to be understood. In this study, the existing literature has been reviewed and a review-compilation work has been produced.
